Parts of a cold

email A cold email should be simple and direct. It consists of 4 parts:

  1. Part 1: The subject line
  2. Part 2: The Front Line
  3. Part 3: The Angle
  4. Part 4: The CTA

Part 1: The subject line

The sole purpose of the subject line is to get the potential customer to open the email. The first line also plays a role because of the preview. But the topic is important. I'll give you some hints:

  1. Quick question about {{Company_Name}}
  2. Quick question for {{Name}}
  3. ideas for you
  4. Fast question

See how simple they are?

My personal favorite is "Quick Question". I almost never use anything else. I know it works, so I'm sticking with it.

Your open rates must be above 30%. If it is below 30%, keep changing it until it is above.

Every niche is different. For example, contractors will respond to something completely different than agency owners.

You need to understand the inner workings and the mind of your prospects.

Part 2: The First Line (Cinnamon Customization)

The first line should have two things.

1) A name.

2) A Compliment (Cinnamon Personalization)

Never send a cold email if you don't have a name.

Never send a cold email if you don't have a compliment to give them.

The purpose of the compliment is to show that you did your research on them.

This requires you to really do your research on them.

This significantly increases the amount of time it takes to send emails, but it pays off in the increased conversion rate.

Using a compliment will multiply by ten the number of responses you receive.

There is almost zero chance that they will respond to you if they don't know for a fact that your email is not automated.

Here is the litmus test...

Your emails should be so personalized that you can't send them to someone else.

So how do I quickly personalize my emails?

What I do is, within my "Cinnamon" Google Sheet, I have my prospects laid out with columns: Website, Company, Name, Title, LinkedIn, Cinnamon.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Q6wYqw5GKpvWlUOOY37Et-anoqMRmhuhUvWTNtQY-cY/edit#gid=0

I go to their LinkedIn and try to find an award or post they've done. If it is a reward I congratulate you. If it's a post, I find a key point and tell them it's interesting or cool.

If I can't find anything on your LinkedIn, I go to your website.

I look for success stories or testimonials and comment on them.

If I can't find anything else, kudos to their website design or something related to what they do.

Whatever the compliment is, it should go in the "Cinnamon" column of the Google sheet.

Don't think about it too much. Just find something and try it.

It is absolutely necessary to use a top-of-the-line compliment.

If you do not want to do it, hire a virtual assistant to perform this task.

If you plan on sending hundreds of cold emails, I highly recommend that you do so.

Go to upwork, freelance or fiver and find someone who does.

What we need here is that you inform him of the reason for the message:

"I am writing to you because I have seen..."

"I am contacting you because a colleague told me that you..."

"I work with clients like you and searching LinkedIn I've seen that??

Part 3: The Angle and Credibility

The angle is the hook. The reason they would be interested. Here are some...

  1. I have helped 5 other brands earn an extra $100k from Facebook Ads.
  2. I help real estate agents get leads with Facebook Ads.
  3. I have 3 ideas that could increase your income by 15-20%.
  4. I help consultants grow their email list with Instagram
  5. I help consultants get more leads with YouTube ads

If you can name your clients here, MUCH BETTER. Use them!

The angle is what you can do for them, the reason why you contact them.

If you're going to try something in your cold emails, try "playing" with the angle.

So really the only thing you need to test is the angle.

Because there is also only 1 CTA that works.

Another part of your angle is your unique mechanism. The UNICO is very important.

For example, let's say you send an email to a Shopify store with this angle: "I can help increase your sales with Facebook ads."

How many thousands of times have you heard this?

It doesn't matter how personalized your first line is.

They don't care about the tone of their Facebook ads.

You must change the perspective on why you can help increase their sales with Facebook ads.

"I am writing to you because, as a result of seeing {Canela}, I suppose that you are interested in improving your recruitment.

I have helped 3 other brands to increase their sales through method X". I can increase your Facebook ad conversions with a extrapolation of the algorithm".

You need to arouse interest.

Potential customers should be instantly intrigued when they read your emails.

What will be that of the extrapolation of the algorithm? I want to know it!!!

Part 4: The CTA

Your call to action must ask for permission before sending any meeting links.

You must ask your prospect if he would like to learn more, know more, know more details.

If it says YES, that's when it skips to the Discovery Call with your Calendly link in the next message.

NEVER SEND THE MEETING LINK DIRECTLY.

Doing anything else or being too impatient will hurt your conversions.

Pick up the conversation and let it flow into the meeting if the other person is interested.

NOTE: If possible, do not send outgoing links (Links) in your cold emails. This will greatly improve deliverability especially if you are doing it for the first time with a domain that is not old. Analyze this deliverability with the tool you use and act accordingly.
