Differentiating actions

You have hated me to say on many occasions that you have to be different to stand out/resonate among so much noise.

Here are strategies that will undoubtedly get your message across.

It will depend on the need of your interlocutor if he advances to the next step, but at least he will see it.

Videos

Should you make videos to get the attention of your prospects?

Short answer, YES.

Long answer, YES YOU SHOULD!! AND A LOT!!!

When to do them?

Whenever you can, that you feel comfortable and that you want to communicate something interesting.

Do not make a substitute video for a text, the video must contribute what the text could not.

Do not make a video that is a presentation.

Don't even think about sending a video of "little drawings/monigotes".

The video has to be personal, if your face comes out 1,000,000 times better.

If you sell a tool to improve a website, show it how you would do it on yours. Browse their website and recommend what they can do to improve.

If you have a system to improve communication, show him graphics, processes and examples of how you would do it and how you have done it for companies like his.

If you have a process to improve an algorithm, show it a proof with a search and the result, or in which it can be applied.

Teach, educate and entertain.

A well-made 2-minute video is better than all the text messages you can send.

TV spots last 20-30 seconds, in 2 minutes you will have to be able to tell something that the other person might be interested in!

Example:

Message that you can add at some point in your Linkedin/email sequences.

In fact, the ideal would be to introduce it as the FIRST message, since it includes personalization, positioning as an expert, respect, interest and contribution of value.

"Hello Name,

I want to share a couple of ideas with you and I have taken the audacity to make a video to specifically show you what I would change about your website since I think there are a couple of questions that can give you ideas. It's only 2 minutes.

Here the video: https://jumpshare.com/v/3Q8dtoYq7AXFnn0nQHfQ

Is this something you plan to improve?

I would love to be able to discuss with you any more in-depth ideas"

I repeat.

MAKE VIDEOS YES OR YES!

Voice

messages You can leave voice messages in the Linkedin app.

It is very difficult, if not impossible, for someone to see that voicemail in their inbox and not be able to listen to it.

If the message arouses their curiosity, they will reply.

We follow the same old rules for our message: Don't sell, accusation audit, enlightenment.

Example of a voice message:

"Hello Name,

I have read/seen what you wrote about....

I have a couple of ideas on how to improve {problem} to help you achieve {expected result} that I would love to present to you in case it is something that you are thinking of improving this year. Can I send them to you to see what you think?"

If they say yes, the ideal would be to send them a video/text message commenting on them, showing them some report/tool/trick of those ideas that you can present to them, since we see that the person is open to receiving audiovisual content.

At the end of the video/message, propose the meeting in writing to learn more about their problems.

Using custom images

Tools like Lemlist or Hyperise allow you to send personalized images in bulk.

In a similar way as in the previous points for marketing, HR or business profiles, it can be very interesting to use this type of technology since they will be interested in the technology used (for themselves) and you can arouse a smile.

Postal mail

Yes, I know, it is not a very digital action, but in certain sectors it can make a huge difference.

NOBODY today expects to receive a personalized letter, much less if you write it by hand, asking for a meeting.

The fantastic book How To meet with anyone https://www.amazon.es/dp/B019WQU7YQ/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?_encoding=UTF8&btkr=1 summarizes this strategy as something very simple.

Surprise effect and principle of reciprocity: "If someone has made the effort doing this, what less than giving him the opportunity to grant him a meeting!"

If you really want to talk to someone, write them a handwritten letter.

Creativity is not at odds with seriousness. We are all people no matter how many CEOs of large companies there are and if you are really interested in reaching someone, be creative and add differentiating pills to your contact sequences.
