Visualizing Value via Metaphor

In some cases, no existing symbol exists to conveniently express an idea.

When that is the case, we can reverse engineer a visual from a written concept.

Take the statement below:


"Reality is unbiased. A complex set of systems beyond our comprehension. Your perspective is biased. A simplified framework of inherited beliefs and assumptions."


So how do we articulate "reality" as a visual?

We know that nature produces perfect geometric patterns, many of which can be modeled mathematically (see here). Based on this phenomena, we can draw a simplified version (pictured left), and emphasise the narrow/biased view using the iconography of a "target" (pictured right).
