Which half do you belong to?
According to McKinsey & Company,
50% of employees report being unproductive at work.
If you feel swamped,
or like you’re struggling to get things done...
You don’t need more time.
You need better systems.
9 strategies to get more done and reclaim time:
1. Time Blocking
Batch similar tasks, create time blocks, and only work on the assigned tasks.
It improves focus and helps avoid losing time to task-switching.
2. The 80/20 Rule
Prioritize the 20% of efforts that brings 80% of results.
You maximize impact by directing your focus and energy on what matters.
3. The 3-3-3 Method
Each day, spend 3 hours on your most important project, and complete 3 urgent, and 3 maintenance tasks.
It helps balance important, urgent, and personal work.
4. Warren Buffett’s 25/5 Rule
Write down your top 25 tasks, circle the top 5, and leave aside the rest.
This will save you from feeling overwhelmed.
5. Eisenhower Matrix
Prioritize tasks by urgency and importance; then do, decide, delegate, or delete.
Set realistic deadlines, based on priority, and finish your work on time.
6. Eat the Frog
Start each day by tackling the most difficult challenge.
It builds momentum and motivation for the rest of the day.
7. Pomodoro Technique
Work in sessions of 25 minutes and break for 5 minutes after each. After repeating the cycle four times, take a longer break of 20-30 minutes.
Beat fatigue and maintain energy and concentration levels for peak performance through the day.
8. Two Pizza Rule
Limit meeting participants to the number of people two pizzas would feed.
Optimize meeting time with more focused and engaged discussions.
9. The 90-90-1 Rule
For 90 days, spend the first 90 minutes of each day on your biggest project.
Make consistent effort to enable progress that compounds over time.
Use these systems.
And make 2024 your most productive year.
Too many people struggle with productivity.
