The race will officially end 5 hours and 30 minutes after the last athlete enters the water through the rolling start. Time spent at aid stations, transitions, etc., will be included in the total elapsed time. Split times are recorded for each segment of the race.
An athlete or relay team member who takes more than 5 hours and 30 minutes to complete the entire course but crosses the finish line before the race course closes will receive a NC (Not Classified) in the race results and will not be eligible for awards.
An athlete or relay team member who takes more than 5 hours and 30 minutes to complete the entire course and does not finish before the race course closes will receive a DNF (Did Not Finish). IRONMAN reserves the right to remove an athlete from the course and give them a DNF if our course personnel determine that there is no possibility for an athlete to finish the designated discipline (swim, bike, run) before the published cut-off times based on the athlete's location, time, and average speed up to that point. Cut-off times for all 5i50 events must be respected based on permissions for course routes and the safety of the athletes involved

The swim course will close 1 hour after the last athlete enters the water. Each athlete will have 1 hour to complete the 0.9-mile swim. Athletes who take more than 1 hour to complete the swim will receive a DNF. IRONMAN officials reserve the right to remove athletes from the course who exceed the established time limits for the swim course.
The bike course will close 3 hours and 30 minutes after the last athlete enters the water. Each athlete or relay team will have 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete the swim course, T1, and cycling, regardless of the swim start time. Any athlete or relay team that takes more than 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete the swim course, T1, and cycling will receive a DNF.
The run course lasts for 2 hours and the race will close once 5 hours and 30 minutes have elapsed since the last athlete entered the water. Each athlete or relay team will have 5 hours and 30 minutes to complete the entire course.
