Run rules and instructions

1. No form of movement other than running, walking, or crawling is allowed.

2. Athletes must wear their assigned IRONMAN race number on the front and keep it visible at all times. Folding, cutting, altering the number intentionally, or not wearing it is PROHIBITED and may result in disqualification.

3. This is an INDIVIDUAL event. NO VEHICLES OR NON-RACE PARTICIPANTS may run/drive alongside the athlete to provide support. This is a high-performance event, and teamwork offers an unfair advantage over other individual competitors, which is not allowed. Having this type of assistance will result in the athlete's disqualification. It is the athlete's responsibility to inform anyone attempting to assist them to avoid disqualification. It is crucial that the athlete immediately rejects any help, assistance, or support.

4. It is the responsibility of each athlete to know and follow the designated run course. No adjustments in times or results will be made for athletes who do not follow the course for any reason. Athletes who do not follow the prescribed course will be disqualified (DSQ).

5. Athletes must follow the directions and instructions of race officials, referees, and road authorities.

6. A shirt or top must be worn at all times. Athletes who fail to do so will be disqualified (DSQ). Athletes who are still on the course after the cutoff time will be removed and will not be allowed to continue.
