1. When is the race?

The event starts on Friday, April 13, in Encarnación, Paraguay. It will take place at Shopping Costanera, where the race kits will be distributed and technical talks will be held.


2. What are the distances?

The distances are:

• 1500 meters of swimming in the Paraná River.

• 40 kilometers of cycling (3 laps).

• 10 kilometers of running (2 laps).



3. What are the cut-off times?

The total time for the race is 5 hours 30 minutes. Athletes who do not meet these times will be removed from the event and will be marked as DNF (Did Not Finish) in the final standings.


4. How do i register?

Registration is open to anyone who wishes to participate in one of the world’s greatest sports challenges. Registrations are done online with credit card payment through the official IRONMAN website.


5. What does the registration include?


• Race day nutrition (hydration stations).

• Athlete kit.

• T-shirt.

• Finisher medal.

• Post-event hydration.


6. How do i make changes to my personal information?

Any changes to your information can be made by sending an email to ironmanparaguay@rebelocity.net.


7. Is there a minimum age to participate?

Yes, the minimum age is 16 years old at the time of the race.


8. What age group am i in?

You will compete according to your age on December 31, 2024. For example, if you turn 25 in October, you will be in the 25-29 age group for all races that year, even though you may still be 24 on race day.


9. What is the venue address?

The venue address will be Playa San José, Encarnación.


10. What is the registration process?

You must go to 5150 Encarnación Paraguay. The registration process is done through ironman.com. You will need to select the race and complete your personal details. After that, you will receive a confirmation email of your registration.


11. Can an athlete register and have someone else check in with my belongings?

No, the athlete MUST personally register. A photo ID will be required to register as an athlete, and you will be given an athlete wristband for entry into the transition area. Bikes and belongings must be left the day before the race, according to the announced schedule. No bikes will be allowed in the transition area on race day.


12. Can someone else pick up my items after the race?

Yes, if the athlete cannot pick up their belongings, another person authorized by the athlete may do so. The athlete will receive a BIKE CHECK OUT card in their kit, which must be handed to the authorized person who will retrieve the belongings before the race. These belongings can only be picked up during the times set by the event organizers. Wristbands and Bike Check Out cards will be verified upon entry and exit, and items will be checked with the race and wristband numbers when leaving.


13. Transition information

There will be a clean transition. NO items (towels, mats, helmets) can be placed on the floor; they must be placed in your personal basket (not provided by the organization) or near your bike. Helmets must be placed on your bike. Any items that the marshals deem dangerous for the event will be retained until the end of the race.
