Algo que puede sonar diferente: Las cualidades emocionales y espirituales están muy conectadas con su fundamento físico De tal manera que este sentido de estar anclado y habitando este cuerpo es la base física que nos da resiliencia, que nos da seguridad propia How the child perceives el mundo fundamentally different from the adult Adults have a little distance from the object We are separated so we can think ABOUT the object That's how we process sensory information The child is not separated from the object they are IN the experience At one with their game Absorto in a little bug, at one with them Devoted presence a bodily devotion to the world A sense impression goes to the sense organ and stops there, doesn't go any deeper. In the child, the sensation comes deeper into the whole physicality That's why RS describes the child as ONE sense organ How do children process their sensory experience bc they can't think about it The sensation comes inside their body and leaves imprints And to be released have to play it out We talk it out but children have to play out their sensation in order to process CHildren are completely like sense organs in how they take in the content of their surroundings. ---- RUDOLF STEINER ANd you can see them when they are on screens Sensation comes deeply inside them Eyes dilate, And it directly affects breathing and circulation Physiology and forming of the organs is deeply affected In other words, They are WIDE OPEN Can't filter their sensory environment IT befalls to the adult to protect child from sensory overwhelm Normalmente necesitamos protegerlos de la sobreestimulación sensorial, Y en estos tiempos, de la falta de estimulación o bien, del desequilibrio sensorial y por lo tanto anímico Qué tal que en vez de tanta terapia, con cuidar y proteger ciertos aspectos físicos elementales podamos devolverles a nuestros hijos algo de calma y fortaleza? Do you just turn a blind eye and walk away Or do you turn to talk to your child? The ground work is: When a child is in those first 5 -6 years Mirror neurons are there These neurons… when we do purposeful movement and a child sees us, like washing the dishes, it makes sense to them… dirty dishes, water, soap, etc. Or sweeping the floor… they see… dirty floor, sweep sweep.. Its an activity that has a purpose and realy makes sense to a child What research has found is that even if they are very still, these mirror neuron activity really fires in their brain and they start inwardly becoming SWEEPISH or whatever we are doing They do it inwardly Later on… in 2000 there were articles being written in journals Later, they found out these mirror neurons also have clusters in parts of the brain closely associated with feelings and empathy, so when a parent is feeling an emotion… someone very close to a child happy, sad, contented… the child feels it as well. Those neurons light up and they feel it through the person that is close to them: parent, guardian, educator… with all that said, let's link it to “Do I ignore or do I not ignore?” When they are being a grumpy littly gnome, under the age of 7… do I talk to them?? There is overtalking to children, be careful Or do I just walk away and ignor it? Overtalking can disconnect and child disconnects Walking away as well But if we do purposeful activities… like cleaning the table… Perhaps we wipe the table, slowly… take the things over, clearing up the food… what happens is that the mirror neurons start firing and they start cleaning as well, even though they are not doing it… If you ask them to help you you might just get a little grumpy NO BUT If we start doing things around them that they are familiar with, that makes sense, and get on with things and not spend time asking trying to reason and asking what they are feeling… a silly question to ask a 4yr old If we do that we start making those movements… an you might have noticed that I speak about SLOW… the child is drown out of their mood The M N are one of the few clusters that can ease that amygdala hijack, fight flight or freeze… One of the few activities in the brain that can shift that That information is just GOLDEN Do we move in, do we ignore… we don't need to do either…. To do it SLOWLy, as calmly as we can… if you want to go for bonus points.. HUM or sing a little song, as we are working, particularly a song that is familiar to the child meanwhile Bc the MN that relate to music start to shift and open and now the child's is going to come out of that little patch of difficult behaviour But we need to slow down It will take 10 or 15 seconds longer, instead of whisking things away That signals to a child that they can co regulate with us bc we are safe They need an extra time when they are grumpy Go slowly, but not is a weird way! HUM, and chances are you will get out of that situation a whole lot sooner than other wise And you were doing things you needed to do anyway! Hoping that was helpful!
